This was the most entertaining novel by Philip K. Dick that I’ve read this year, and I’ve read four of them. The three volume set from Library of America has been quite the enjoyable read. I plan on reading volume two next year which is another five novels.
I was surprised to see that Ubik was never made into a film, however the wikipedia entry does document some failed attempts and screenplays. At the end of the volume was a chronology of the author’s life, I found this section interesting but quite sad.
